Seven years and seven winks

A sacrifice is dedicated
To the God of Sun.
The white horse’s soul is rising
With the smoke up to the sky.

Buried to the
Roots of an oak-tree,
All the gears are
Hanged on the limbs.

The times are hard and fraught with danger
And the dark prevails.
The Sun, the Moon and all the stars got
Stolen by the beast.

In the distress
And desperation
The youngest, the bravest
Unearthed the bones.

Seven years and seven winks
And the dead gets alive.
Bones to nag, nag to steed -
With fire in the eyes.

Riding faster
Than the winds.
Seven years and
Seven winks.

The corpse got geared up,
Thus the spell's cast,
And the life began to spring.

Flesh grew on bones,
Bones got braced by joints,
And all got wrapped with skin.

Tender judders,
Senseless flutters,
The heart gave the first leaps.

On the first day
Of the eighth year
The white horse rose and reared.

Man and horse, like fiery lightning
Struck down from the sky,
The curved saber flashed, and all heads got smashed,
The light conquered the dark.

He brought back the Sun
On the daylight sky,
His son carried the
Moon and the stars.

Seven years and seven winks
And the dead gets alive.
Bones to nag, nag to steed -
With fire in the eyes.

Riding faster
Than the winds.
Seven years and
Seven winks.
